## Meeting Minutes
* ~11 people showed up
* Neg9 members discussed high-level issues of running OpenCTF.
* We don't know where contests will be held
* We want to do dynamic points and ctfd allows for giving a challenge less points.
* We want to figure out how to playtest runnable challenges without providing a way for enthusiastic players to access our systems.
* We want to balance the game so that no one who submits a good challenge is left out.
* We want stable infrastructure at the game
* We looked at the past to solutions:
* IPv6
* ARM
* Dialup
* Karl gave a talk at shmoocon about [IMSI catchers](https://www.shmoocon.org/speakers/#batterup) and the IMSI catcher catcher that he, Peter, and Ian worked on.
* Utilt is volunteering his time and considering a PhD.
* Javantea explained power side-channel analysis and showed his FitzSPA which needs better connectors
* A new person talked about his stash of defcoin and wondered about the price.
* Javantea talked about the issues of Tor and Tails but didn't get into detail. Basically his argument was: can you trust the developers of Tor to be ahead of exploit development? Also, the design of Tor is not onion-like. It acts how you want it to act (3 hops rapid and not easily reversible by modest attackers), but it does not employ the model you expect for performance reasons.
* We discussed homomorphic encryption
* We discussed FPGAs briefly (pipelining).
* We're planning a meeting for February.
